The Rang Po dam collapsed at about 9:00 pm on Thursday night and efforts were being made to retrieve the 12 bodies which were lying in a tunnel between Lamaten and Rolleck areas, they said.

The dam was being built by a private company Gati Infrastructure Ltd for storage of water for hydel power generation at the 99 MW project at Chujachen, officials said.
