Singhs attack Kinng

The portrayal of the community in the movie has drawn the ire of radical Sikh organisations. Prior to the release, the producers had sought an informal clearance from a panel that included Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) former Secretary Gurbachan Bachan and members of the Singh Sabha.

“Finding the movie not credible, we had asked the producer to make certain changes. But when he expressed his inability to do so, we had refused to clear it,” said SGPC General Secretary Sukhdev Singh Bhaur.
