The Directorate of Environment and Ecology in Jammu and Kashmir has launched a website to provide information on environmental scenario of the state.

The site, jkenvis.Com, would create a databank in all developmental sectors and facilitate users with monthly compilation of news items on the environment.

Incharge of Envis Centre in the Directorate, M A W Deva said the website would prove a boon for planners in formulation of plans in the state.

The Directorate also released three books on analysis, monitoring, evaluation and environmental impact assessment.
