THE EXAMINERS, who fail to join the evaluation training programme organised by the Uttar Pradesh Madhymik Shikhsa Parishad for its High School and Intermediate examinations this year, may be blacklisted for ever.

This step has been taken following the last year's experience by the Board authorities when several examiners did not appear for the evaluation training programme and as a result several anomalies were reported during evaluation of answer sheets.
Hence, taking a strong note against the erring examiners, the Board authorities have debarred as many as 260 examiners from the evaluation work this year.
These examiners allegedly checked the answer sheets without becoming aware of the norms of the new evaluation system. Training about the new evaluation system was imparted the same year.
The action was taken on the ground of report submitted by chief examiners to the Board, stating these examiners did not attend the evaluation training programme before checking the answersheets for 2005 examinations. The Board officers, on the condition of anonymity, told HT Live on Thursday that more than 750 examiners were likely to be debarred from this year's examination works on the same ground. As many as 150 teachers had been debarred from Allahabad while 72 from Varanasi and 50 from Bareilly regions.
It may be recalled that Board imparts training to its examiners every year to update them with the time-to-time changes made in the evaluation system.

They are usually reluctant in attending the training programme. Thus, the Board has resolved to blacklist all those teachers, who fail to attend this year's training programme, especially meant for them.
