Flintoff said the team was picked keeping in the mind the conditions and the defeat was largely because of the partnership between Suresh Raina and Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

"We picked the side according to what we thought. We were in the game before Raina-Dhoni partnership clinched the game for India. We were going great guns till then," Flintoff said. He said there were a few positives that his team could take from the defeat. "Today was better than the other day (at Kotla). Some of he positives were the innings of Andrew Strauss and the mature knock of Pietersen."
