Before you know it, the weekend has come around once again, and you’re probably looking out for a good place that will neither blow a hole in your budget nor have you driving for hours to the malls in Gurgaon.
We recommend you head to the Defence Colony market — the area is crowded with family-style restaurants (Sagar, Aka Saka, Moet’s) and pubs like Groove and DC9.
But a newly-opened lounge that is bringing in the hoards is the RPM Hookah Lounge. A 35-seater, it’s rather small, so we definitely recommend reservations. And though the concept of smoking a hookah is not new to the city (Shalom, Lizard Lounge, Europa Lounge, Mocha and Masharbiya have had them for the past one year), it is the first time that the Hookah has become the mainstay of a Lounge.
The management promises to add to the list of Hookah flavours (currently they have only cappuccino, mint, apple and strawberry) and bring it up to 18. Price: Rs 200 each.
The list of cocktails is pretty basic — the usual Long Island Iced Tea, Blue Lagoon, Bloody Mary and the like. Among the shooters are Kamikaze and B-52. But a new drinks menu is on the way.

{{/usCountry}}The food is just about okay. You’ll be safe with the regular Chinese appetisers (spring rolls, vegetable salt and pepper, chicken in piquant sauce) with your peg.
Ricky is the in-house DJ and he plays the usual mix of house, lounge and some pop numbers, but the volume needs to be turned down a few notches — it makes any kind of conversation impossible.
