YOU WOULD no longer have to queue up at the LDA office to find out if your name figures among the lucky few in the lottery draw for plots. The LDA is all set to provide the facility to you on short messaging service (SMS).
With the development agency gearing up to hold its mega lottery draw for over 1,000 plots in its Vibhor and Vinayak Khand Scheme in Gomti Nagar Extension arrangements are being made to provide all the relevant info to an applicant on the SMS.
This would include all the registrations details of an applicant right from the plot-size down to the quota/category under which he has applied.
“All that an applicant needs to do is to type LDAVV (space) followed by his/her form/challan number and send it to 4242,” said an LDA official adding the information would be instantly sms-ed back to him.
That is not all. The civic agency has decided to retain the numbers of all those whose registration query it will receive via the SMS. “We would ensure that the results of the lottery draw are conveyed to all such subscribers without their having to SMS for the same again,” the official informed.
Last but not the least, all refund-related queries of the customers too would be answered similarly. “We would be sending them the status of their refund, including the name of the bank from which they can obtain the refund cheque,” the officer added.
