After the success of its first two stores at Phoenix Mills and Atria Mall, pottery studio Make n Bake will open its first café in Juhu tomorrow, offering customers live firing facilities. The paint-your-own-pottery studio cum café is the brainchild of 27-year-old Sanchi Dharia, who trained in the art of ceramic pottery in New York. The store not only allows you to make your own unique ceramic art, but also has space for patrons to lounge around, sipping on lattes or snacking on pastries.

On being asked why she decided to combine the store with a café, Sanchi says, “I noticed that a lot of people were waiting for long durations as the process of painting takes time, so it made sense to throw a café into the mix where people can have a place to unwind while they are painting or waiting for others”. This element, according to Sanchi, makes the store fun for “young adults and teenagers to hang out at or an innovative place to go out on dates.”
