Snapped ties with all those who 'betrayed' Jaya: Sasikala

Exactly 100 days after being shown the door at the Poes Gardens residence of Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalithaa, estranged aide Sasikala Natarajan may have found a way back into the home and heart of her “sister”.

Sasikala — who was expelled from the AIADMK along with her husband and relatives on December 19 last year — has denounced and disowned all her relatives for misusing her proximity to Jayalalithaa.

Jaya TV prominently carried her statement on Wednesday, raising the possibility of reconciliation between the two women — which would be the second after their fallout in 1996 and subsequent patch up.

“Only after the disciplinary action, I came to learn that they (her relatives) had misused my proximity to my elder sister and indulged in activities detrimental to the party and the fair name of Jayalaithaa,” Sasikala said.

“I will have nothing to do with anyone who harbours ill designs against my sister. I have no political ambitions and want to live the rest of my life as a true younger sister of Jayalalithaa and serve her.”
