The centre was blacklisted.

The action was initiated after the DM found teachers with fake identity cards and forged signature doing examination duty. District magistrate RN Tripathi pointed out the matter to the education department, which initially tried to brush it under the carpet, but later mended its ways.

Ever since the examination began, newspapers have been highlighting the issue of fake ID-cards and forged countersign. But, the education department did not bother to probe into the matter. The DM stumbled upon one such case and ordered the officials to investigate.

As the office of the DIOS had allegedly tried to cover up various anomalies, district magistrate RN Tripathi took the onus on himself to expose the racket. On many occasions, he sought the DIOS’ explanation over allotment of centres. Such centres were allegedly allotted by bending all rules.
