No let me…. And the Lucknow campus witnessed what no other university had witnessed before—a race among professors, readers and student leaders to tell Prateek Yadav that he had passed.
Prateek who? Oh! Don’t dare ask that. Because everybody knows he is the son of Etawah’s king. There was quite an anxious moment on the Lucknow University (LU) campus this morning when the news spread that B Com first year result (mark sheet) is ready for distribution.
More than the students, it was some of the select teachers who looked tense and anxious. They were not worried about the results of their wards or some family members. In fact, they were keen to know how Prateek Yadav, the VVIP examinee had fared in the B Com I year examinations.
If the staff handling the mark sheet are to be believed, a teacher of commerce department was the first person to reach the cell to have a look at Prateek’s mark sheet. According to the eyewitness, this teacher’s happiness knew no bounds when he saw that the VVIP examinee had scored about 70 pc marks. He immediately took out his cell phone and made a couple of calls. It was learnt that other senior teachers followed him and quizzed the clerk about Prateek’s marks.
Not just teachers’, scores of student leaders mostly those affiliated to Samajwadi Party flocked to the examination cell and had a look at his marks.

Needless to mention, early this year when Prateek was taking his examination at the Old Bock, number of teachers engaged in the flying squad used to visit his room. This visit used to be more in the nature of striking rapport with Yadav and less to supervise the progress of the examinations.
