SAINT-GOBAIN – a state-of-the-art glass manufacturing company in the country, has brought all its solar control products under a single umbrella brand – Sun Ban Reflective Glass.

The new Sun Ban Reflective glass range includes Reflectasol, Antelio and Cool-Lite. Speaking to the media, Saint-Gobain Glass India Ltd’s regional manager (Western Region) Hemant Khurana said Saint-Gobain was the first company to manufacture solar control reflective glass products, which are effective in keeping away solar heat into the buildings.

Khurana said the company has a large number of product offers, which cover a wide range of performances and aesthetics thereby addressing a variety of consumer needs. Secondly, he mentioned that there has been an increasing usage of solar control products at the retail end like shops, residences, office buildings, educational institutions etc.

Saint-Gobain enjoys 26% share in Rs 1,700-crore market. Highlighting the benefits of the specialised glass. Iike any other tropical country, India has a major challenge to keep solar heat out from its buildings, the RM said. “One of the main benefits of Sun Ban range is that it keeps solar heat out and, thereby reducing the heat inside the building and also reduces air-conditioning loads & lower electricity bills,” he added.
