The Centre would soon begin the process of consultation, he told reporters on the sidelines of a function in Hubli.

He said opposition parties like Telugu Desam and Praja Rajyam have been opposing division of Andhra Pradesh.

Moily's statement comes in the wake of rallies and demonstrations being held across Andhra Pradesh on Sunday for the fourth consecutive day in support of Telangana state and the Telugu Desam leaders from the region agreeing to join the
Joint Action Committee spearheading the Telangana agitation.

Besides, ministers from the Telangana region, who have sent their resignations to Congress President Sonia Gandhi, have landed in New Delhi to hold talks with the leadership. They have demanded that the Centre set a "time-frame" for the formation of a separate state.

Justice Dinkaran's case is now before the Supreme Court Collegium as well as before the Chief Justice of India, Justice K G Balakrishnan, he said.
