School is a place to learn, assimilate, observe and understand our surroundings. School gives us the platform to gather knowledge about the world and sensitizes it towards our immediate environment, out of which a large part comprises of our 'society'.
Here at Salwan, as we travel the road of knowledge, discovering our identity, we also become conscious of the greater human society. A constructive attitude towards the society leads to the desire to learn and teach others. In our school for instance, the Student Council is the most powerful contrivance through which we learn about how to give back to the society.
The student council along with the shadow council organizes the assemblies in which the pressing issues of the society are debated. This creates a sense of wakefulness among the students towards the society. The council also inculcates in us the feeling of dignity and the need to help our peers and above all, the ethics and moral principles.
Another way by which we help the society is through our daily classroom teachings. We have special classes for the students of Chandan Nagar who are provided with the education just similar to what a prestige institution provides to its students. Chandan Nagar students have developed good command over the English language and this has definitely contributed to their personality with examples of daily life, we are taught the skills of putting others before ourselves.

Oratory skills, listening skills, comprehensive and behavioral skills are some important tools that we learn in school, which help us to benefit the society and the people around us. We also have leadership classes which are conducted every week to instill among everyone the sense of belongingness towards the society.
The idea of 'Education for All' is not just limited to the students. The special classes are held for the support staff which has helped them in improving their knowledge and formulate them into more refined intellectuals.
