They have been demanding for a change in the sentence provisioned in section 304-A of Indian Penal Code.

The vehicle was being driven by one of their friends, who escaped with minor injuries and was awarded two-year imprisonment by a court. The convict was allegedly drunk. “The sentence in this case should not be less than 10 years and be treated as murder on the roads,” said Sumir Anand, the father of Curran Anand, 15, one of the victims.
