Addressing a public meeting here as part of campaign for the December 12 assembly polls in the state, she said farmers, industrialists and business community in the state were "victims of misgovernance."

"The government could not provide sufficient power to farmers and industrialists, the trading community faced recession, women suffered due to water scarcity and high prices of essential commodities. And yet the Prime Minister expressed satisfaction about the state's progress", she said.

Coming down on BJP government for holding Congress responsible for the water crisis in the state, Sonia said, "The water flowing in the canals of Bhakranangal dam was a present from the Congress government".

About linkage of all rivers of the country, she said, "It was Rajiv Gandhi who had floated the idea. Now BJP is taking the credit by announcing about the national grid to check water crisis."
