Congress president Sonia Gandhi, who was admitted to Delhi's Sir Ganga Ram Hospital on Thursday with lower respiratory tract infection, is stable.

"She is feeling better and her condition is stable. She has undergone breathing exercises without any problem. She will remain under observation and treatment in the hospital today (Sunday). Her condition will be reviewed along with the reports in the morning (Monday)," said Dr Arup Kumar Basu, senior consultant and chairman of respiratory medicine at the hospital, who is looking after Gandhi.

She also had some difficulty in breathing when she was brought to the hospital on Thursday.
