Congress President Sonia Gandhi will lay the foundation stone of a new girl's medical college in Sonepat district on March 1.
Gandhi will lay the foundation stone of the medical college in Bhagat Phool Singh Mahila Vishwavidyalaya and will also unveil the statue of Bhagat Phool Singh.
She is scheduled to address a public meeting thus formally kick starting the party's poll campaign.
The visit of Gandhi to Khanpur Kalan village on February 9 was cancelled on account of sudden death of Ranbir Singh Hooda, a veteran freedom fighter and father of Bhupinder Singh Hooda.
Besides visiting Khanpur Kalan village, Gandhi will also visit Uchana Kalan village where she will unveil the statue of Rajiv Gandhi in the premises of Rajiv Gandhi degree college there.
After the ceremony she will visit Mewat district and inaugurate the Rajiv Gandhi Rainwell water supply project at Kondal village.
Governor of Haryana A R Kidwai, Chief Minister Bhupinder
Singh Hooda, Health Minister Kartar Devi, Education and Transport Minister Mange Ram Gupta and Parliamentary Secretary Krishna Pandit will accompany her, according to official sources.
