Remember former Miss India 1985 Sonu Walia, who sizzled in Rakesh Roshan’s Khoon Bhari Maang with Kabir Bedi? A successful model, Sonu somehow could never succeed as an actress with not even a dozen movies to her credit.

After a few forgetful flicks, Sonu walked down the isle with Pratap Singh, top-notch villain of South Indian (Tamil, Telugu, Kannada & Malayalam) movies. The actress is now reportedly all set to turn producer and will be launching her movie very shortly.

Almost all the details have been kept under wraps, and one will only get to hear when she announces the mahurat of her film. The news was confirmed from her office.

The source informed: “We are still talking to various people for the cast and crew. Sonu has undergone a thyroid operation in Chandigarh and will be back in Mumbai either on 4th or 6th April 2006. Once everything is finalised, we will get in touch with you with all the information.”

Though one name that might figure in the star cast is that of her husband, Pratap. He was in news because of Faiz Anwar’s Chand Bujh Gaya—the film, which was rejected by the Censors because of Pratap’s true resemblance to Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi and the Godhra episode. The actor also had some roles in Ketan Mehta’s The Rising, Dilip Gautam’s Goodh and Iqbal Durani’s Gandhi Se Pehle Gandhi.
