GOVERNOR DR Balram Jakhar inaugurated a show of magician P C Sorcar, Young at Campion School auditorium today. Organised by The Bengali Association, Bhopal as part of its golden jubilee year celebrations, the inaugural show was specially staged in honour of the Governor.

The Association had also invited 500 children from various schools and a cross-section of the society free of cost. The father and son duo presented some attractive items in the form of dance and drama. The son Pouroosh Sorcar performed ‘Vanishing Princess of Egypt’ and ‘Soul to Soul’ was widely praised.
PC Sorcar, Young is the son of legendary magician Padmashree PC Sorcar and brother of PC Sorcar, Jr. He said they have been continuing the tradition of magic for the last eight generations. “We do it to provide pure entertainment,” he added.
On the occasion, Association general secretary Salil Chatterjee said that in the golden jubilee year of celebrations, the Bengali Association would undertake social work and a free multi-specialty OPD would be started at TT Nagar Kalibadi premises from August 15.
