Sourav Ganguly's wife to perform at Shilp Mela

Donna will present Odissi dance. She has already performed in other places and gained applause for her talent.
According to Atul Dwivedi, programme officer, the Shilp Mela this year will be a confluence of various artistes from all over India. Famous for shehnai recital, brothers Shanker and Sanjeev will perform on the same day.
Other nine days will witness multiple performances. There will be presentation of songs by Nuruddin Mewati from Rajasthan. Meanwhile children will get their share of entertainment through puppet show by the artistes of Kolkata. Magicians from Hyderabad are also coming to enthrall the audience through their magic tricks.
Disciple of Ustad Zakir Hussain, Anuradha Pal will play tabla on day fifth of the mela. Mime artistes will also give stage performance. Another artiste Latafat Khan, a singer from Pakistan, is supposed to perform on the last day. Garaba, dandia, bhojpuri songs, kathak dance, etc will entertain the visitors during the mela.
"There will be 100 stalls of handicraft in Shilp mela. Bamboo work from Nagaland, cotton work from Madurai, pearl craft from Hyderabad, stone carving from Tamil Nadu, craft of sea products from Orissa, walnut furniture from Saharanpur, sandalwood work from Karnataka, silk work from Assam, Bengal, MP will be the highlight of the mela. Tribal craft will be displayed at the stalls of Bastar, leather work is brought by the artisans of Andhra Pradesh.
There will also be stalls of stuffed toys, terracotta, kanjivaram sarees, chandrei sarees, paper mache, dried flowers etc," added Dwivedi.
The centre has not decided yet about the personality who will inaugurate the mela. "It will be yet another occasion for the citizens to freak out," he said.
