The Samajwadi Party's manifesto, released on Friday, promises a lot of freebies.

Besides free education till class Class 8, books would also be provided free of cost. Additionally, girls would get two sets of uniforms a year free of cost.

Education would be free for girls till graduation in government or aided colleges.

There would be fee exemption in private higher and vocational institutions for those students who come from families that earns less than Rs 5 lakh per annum.

Muslim Agenda
For social, educational, economic uplift of Muslims

Quick implementation of recommendations of Rangnath Mishra Commission and Sachar committee in UP and also pressure the the central government for its implementation.

Separate reservation in jobs for Muslims, considering them backwards and reservation would be on the basis of their population.

New government educational institutes in areas that have high density of Muslims

Immediate release of innocent Muslims from jail who have been victimized in the name of checking terrorism and they would also be given compensation.

Special budget for technical education in madarsas.

To instill confidence in Muslims, they would be inducted into state security forces.

Institutions of higher learning that qualify to be a university would be given university status.

To make Muhamma Ali Jauhar University a model one.

Sops to all those cottage or small industries that are dominated by Muslims — like handloom, carpet, bangles, locks, zari-zardozi etc.
