"This (report of my apology) is absolutely false... I have not apologised to anyone," Khan said in Muzaffarnagar.

He was commenting on reports that he, along with three other suspended MPs of SP, had met Rajya Chairman Hamid Ansari and expressed regret over their conduct on March 8 while protesting against the Women's Reservation Bill.

"I along with Ram Gopalji had met the Chairman but neither of us apologised... There was no word of regret or even remorse expressed," he maintained.

The meeting on Wednesday, he said, was called by Ansari and discussions took place only on the "developments" of the day.

"There was no question of an apology. We have not apologised nor will we ever do so. There is no question of apologising," he said.
