SAMAJWADI PARTY city president Zia-ul-Islam said thousands of party workers would participate in a youth convention in Lucknow on January 29. Frontal organisations of the party have been provided with buses to transport workers to the State capital. Enthused by the success of Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav’s public meeting in Gorakhpur, Samajwadi Party activists are leaving no stone unturned to show their strength in the youth convention.

Islam said the SP was concerned about welfare of weaker sections. He said a section of party workers would go to Lucknow by Gorakhnath Express. He claimed Gorakhpur was given the maximum funds by chief minister Mulayam Singh Yadav after former Chief Minister Veer Bahadur Singh. Former MLC Devendra Pratap Singh also appealed to party workers to ensure the success of the convention. Venkateshwar Tiwari and others said the convention would mark a new chapter in State politics.
