AUDIT EMPLOYEES Association today flayed the Samajwadi Party activists for attacking Central Income Tax office. Association demanded stern action against errant SP workers.
A meeting of Central government, state and trade unions leaders was held on Wednesday, in which they lashed out at Samajwadi Party supporters for attacking income tax office and damaging government properties on June 12.
Presiding over the meeting, AGUP president Subhash Chandra Pandey warned the district administration to conduct an inquiry into the incident and arrest culprits otherwise they would launch an agitation.
Later, a delegation met the IG Allahabad and submitted a memorandum demanding arrest of those indulged in violent activities at income tax office and arrest of Triveni Sheet Glass Works’ employee Amrendra Pandey’s murderer JK Agarawal.
Prominent those who joined the delegation included Kripa Shankar Srivastava, Shubash Chandra Pandey, Kali Prasad, Ramashankar Pandey and Subrat Banerjee.
Meanwhile, District Congress Party chief Ashok Kumar Bajpai reacted sharply on the role of police administration for not taking appropriate action against two youths, who climbed at overhead tank in Allahpur against income tax department notice to Amitabh Bachchan.
