ABHISHEK AND Anushtan at the Mahakaleshwar Temple marked the birthday of legendry film personality Amitabh Bachchan on Wednesday in this temple town. Eleven pandits conducted the rituals with a wish for healthy life and more success to the famous hero.
Temple administrator Shubkaran Sharma said that the Mahamruitunjay Jap was significant for ensuring longevity in life. He said it was the style of this pious city to extend greetings to Amitabh on his birthday. Several fans of Amitabh were also present at the temple on the occasion.
It was not the first time that anushtan was performed at the temple for well being of Amitabh. Prayers were held when he sustained injuries during the shooting of film Cooli years back and recently for stomach trouble.
