Spindly plastic Christmas trees decorated with confetti are old hat. Fancy a mannequin wearing your Christmas tree instead?

Check out Chamomile’s Vineet and Kanchan Dhingra’s installation at the Palladium, an eco-friendly tree made from recyclable waste.

“We were approached to design a unique Christmas tree which would also represent the spirit of the store,” says Kanchan. “So we decided to make it in the female form. It starts as a woman’s neck and shoulders and the skirt flows out in the form of a tree.” Kanchan’s Christmas tree also sports stilettos and a stole.

Nearby, the Ed Hardy team has set up a towering installation made from recycled bottles. Staying eco-friendly, designer duo Shantanu and Nikhil who have created their special tree with waste and recycled paper.

Says Gayatri Ruia of Palladium, “We wanted to commemorate our first Christmas at Palladium but with a conscience behind whatever celebration we planned. We asked the stores located within to create their own trees bearing messages to the public.”
