Low-cost carrier SpiceJet on Friday posted a net loss of Rs 240 crore for the July-September quarter, down from a net profit of Rs 10.1 crore in the corresponding quarter last fiscal.

Kalanithi Maran promoted airline witnessed a 26% growth in net sales at R759 crore in Q2 from Rs 603 crore in the second quarter of last fiscal.
Fuel expenses saw a huge jump during the quarter. SpiceJet spent Rs 478 crore on fuel in the quarter against Rs 261 crore in the same period previous year.
