THE INCIDENTS of drug-and-rob have increased in running trains as more than three dozen passengers were looted in the last one week by miscreants after being served intoxicants camouflaged in eatables.

As per reports, total 10 passengers were looted in Jan Sadharan Express who were found lying unconscious in different boogies at Mughalsarai station on Sunday morning. These passengers were returning home to different places in Bihar to celebrate Raksha-Bandhan festival on August 9.
GRP jawans admitted the looted passengers of Jan Sadharan Express at the Loco Hospital of Mughalsarai. GRP authorities at Mughalsarai station said that the looted passengers were admitted to the Loco Hospital and no FIR had been registered with the GRP so far.
In another glaring example, around 22 passengers of Sampurna Kranti and Jan Sadharan Express were looted in similar fashion here on Friday last.
As per information, as many as 10 passengers of Jan Sadharan Express were looted by miscreants. The matter came to light when fellow passengers informed the authorities. A total of 12 passengers of Sampurnan Kranti were also looted by the drug-and-rob gang. This matter also came to light only when the train arrived at Mughalsarai station. All victims were admitted to the Railway Hospital in Mughalsarai.
Similarly, three passengers were looted by drug-and-rob gangs in running trains and the matter came to light when the trains reached Varanasi cantonment railway station on Sunday. These victims were found in the state of unconsciousness and were admitted to Shiv Prasad Gupta Divisional Hospital.
