Muthalik, who was granted conditional bail by Judicial Magistrate First Court (JMFC) here yesterday, told reporters outside the jail that he was arrested "without any reason".

Denying that he had made any inflammatory speech in Mysore, the right wing outfit leader alleged that Hindu organisations in the state were being "targeted unnecessarily" and he would submit a memorandum to Governor H R Bharadwaj in this regard soon.

Three persons were killed in communal clashes in Mysore on June 2 following the alleged defiling of a madrassa.

Remanded to judicial custody till August seven by a local court in Mysore, he was shifted to Bellary jail on July 26.
