The Mumbai Heritage Conservation Committee (MHCC) has given actor Shah Rukh Khan a ‘no-objection’ certificate for changes being made in his bungalow, Mannat in Bandra, and the six-storey building adjoining it.

“We have awarded a completion certificate to the structure. On inspection, we found that the changes have been done as per the approved plans. It does not harm the original heritage structure and does not violate regulations,” said MHCC chairman Dr Sharad Upasni.
Mannat is a designated ‘Grade III’ structure. Buildings in this grade are considered to be of importance to the townscape.
The clearance paves the way for Khan to pull down the rear wall of the bungalow’s ground floor, connecting the two buildings. This will increase the size of the hall.
