THE SWAROOP Rani Nehru administration has set up an inquiry against the security guards posted at the gynaecology ward on Saturday night when a baby boy was lifted from ward 7. The administration has decided to question the guards provided by Sainik Kalyan Nigam, to find out any possibility of their involvement in the sensational case.

"Even if the guards were not involved in the case, we want to find out what they were doing when the incident took place. We are also trying to find out why the guards failed to stop women who escaped with the baby," said Dr ST Imam, superintendent-in-charge of Swaroop Rani Nehru Hospital.
Dr Imam said about 10 guards posted at the hospital would be questioned to find their whereabouts on that particular night when the incident took place. The police was already conducting an inquiry against all the suspected staff.
