THE STAFF and nurses at the SRN Hospital have threatened to launch a stir against the hospital administration.

They are agitated over poor maintenance of electrical fittings in the hospital, due to which the power line trips whenever the load increases. They said despite repeated reminders, the hospital administration failed to change the wiring in colonies on the hospital campus.
A senior nurse said power supply was disrupted after an electricity pole near the PWD Colony suddenly caught fire on Wednesday night.
The repair started on Thursday morning, but power could not be restored till the evening. This also affected water supply to residential colonies, she said.
MLN Medical College principal Dr RC Saxena said the power line often tripped due to high-voltage heaters used by many Class III and IV employees for cooking food.
