The 14th International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) awards kickstarted in Macau on Thursday with a lot of Bollywood presence. Taking a cue from Hollywood’s walk of fame, the Day One had actors Abhishek Bachchan and Shahid Kapoor putting their hand impressions on a star-shaped cement slab.
Both the actors, who arrived together, went unrecognised at the Macau airport. Although there were a lot of people at the airport, no one could recognise Shahid and Abhishek. We just saw one girl who recognised Shahid and screamed out his name.
Actor Parineeti Chopra, who seemed excited about performing with Ayushmann Khurrana at the awards, replied with a “Whenever!” when asked about her marriage plans. “
Aap ladka dhoond do main shaadi kar lungi
(You find me a boy and I’ll get married),” she added.
Also spotted were actors Arjun Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez, Prabhu Deva, Zeenat Aman, Huma Qureshi and Dia Mirza.
