Stamp scam: SC relaxes Sharma's bail condition

Sharma's counsel submitted that he needed to visit Mumbai where he has taken up a job after retirement.

The Supreme Court on Monday relaxed the bail condition of fake stamp paper scam accused and former Mumbai Police Commissioner RS Sharma and allowed him to leave Pune.

A bench of Chief Justice YK Sabharwal, Justice SB Sinha and Justice BP Singh said Sharma can leave Pune without prior permission of the investigating agency but will have to inform it about his place of visit.

Sharma's counsel submitted that he needed to visit Mumbai where he has taken up a job after retirement.

Sharma was granted bail by the apex Court on certain conditions, including that he could not leave Pune without prior permission of the investigating agency.
