Star musicians' music school in Jaipur

Bollywood music composers Sameer Sen and Lalit Sen are set to open an exclusive music school here. The school would be developed on the lines of the traditional Indian gurukul system.

Bollywood music composers Sameer Sen and Lalit Sen are set to open an exclusive music school here. The school would be developed on the lines of the traditional Indian gurukul system wherein disciples are imbibed knowledge while residing with their gurus.

The institute would also impart knowledge about music practiced during the time of erstwhile rulers of Rajasthan. "It would be an attempt to promote music tourism in the state. It would also reinstate traditional music among the younger generation," a source close to the Sen brothers told IANS.

"It would be run like a research and development center. It would practice music therapy to study the effects of music on people," the source added.
