The political parties in New Delhi have roped in a huge cast of Bollywood stars to woo voters during the last phase of their poll campaign.

While actors Shatrughan Sinha, Dharmendra, Hema Malini and Suneil Shetty were seen in various parts of Delhi lobbying for the 'Bhajapa' (Bharatiya Janata Party), the Congress party too sent out director Satish Kaushik and actor Sunil Dutt to drum up support for its candidates.

Delhi's seven constituencies will be going to the polls on May 10 in the fifth and final phase of the general election and Saturday is the last day for campaigning here.

And as election frenzy reached a crescendo in the capital, the political parties are leaving no stone unturned to turn any last-minute tables.

As Dharmendra campaigned for BJP candidate and central minister Jagmohan in the New Delhi constituency, a large crowd swarmed the area just to catch a glimpse of the superstar.

However, in Chandni Chowk, where the BJP candidate, actress Smriti Irani, is locked in a contest with Congress leader Kapil Sibal, there was no need for the BJP to rope in any more stars.

All of Irani's campaign rallies attracted huge crowds as people thronged the meetings to get a glimpse of the actress who portrays Tulsi in the serial "Kabhi Saas Bhi Bahu Thi".

Basheera Kausal, 54, told IANS, "Why do we need another star when we have Tulsi with us?"

Asked if she would vote for Irani, she replied: "Vote? I will vote for the party my husband asks me to vote for."

And as Irani's campaign started moving away, Basheera ran off to follow the actress, dragging her daughter, her daughter-in-law and her granddaughter in tow.
