Jeffery Kruger capitalised on his pole position to win Race 1 of Round 3 of the Volkswagen Polo R Cup at the Buddh International Circuit in Greater Noida on Saturday.

The South African driver claimed his third win of the season, finishing 10.970 seconds ahead of Mumbai-based Rahil Noorani and Chandigarh lad Angad Singh Matharoo. It was Rahil's fourth podium of the season and Matharoo's first.

In the JK Tyre Racing Championship, Arjun Maini claimed his maiden win in the Formula BMW series as he pipped Vishnu Prasad by three seconds in Race 1 of Round 3.
