M P Rajya Mantralaya Shashkiya Adhikari Karmachari Sangh’s president, OP Gaur, R C Gupta, Asad Hashmi, Arun Pandey, Madhu Saxena, Mahesh Nathani, R K Tripathi and G R Moolchandani on Thursday demanded Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan give DA benefits to State employees on the lines of their central counterparts. They also urged the State Government to merge 50 per cent of their DA in their basic salary.

In a joint statement issued here today Gaur and Gupta said employees and their families were faced with hardship because of the continuous increase in prices of essential commodities and non payment of DA by the State Government. Since DA is linked with the price index, employees are facing great problems in meeting their requirements, they added.

The duo said it was unfortunate that on the one hand officers of All-India Services were regularly getting benefit of increased DA along with arrears, while State employees deprived of it, they alleged.
