Sources in STF said the direction came from the top cops to stay away from the investigation and that the Noida police would tackle the case.

Inspector General (IG), UP STF KL Meena however, told HT that the STF’s Ghaziabad wing had been associated with Noida counterparts to provide help in the investigation.

A team of the STF has still been camping there and for the assistance of the Noida police, Meena said.

Meanwhile, IG STF, Meena probably was unaware with the fact that separate teams formed and engaged in the investigation by the SSP Noida did not include the STF sleuths.
