Uttar Pradesh chief minister Akhilesh Yadav was criticised publicly on Tuesday by his father and Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav over the state of worsening law and order situation in the state.
"Stooges are running the government. Stooges always cheat you, they are not good for a chief minister's image," Mulayam Singh Yadav told Akhilesh at a public meeting in the state capital.
The 40-year-old chief minister had to face his father's wrath after medical services continued to be disrupted for the fifth day after medical college as well as private doctors across the state joined a protest demanding the release of 24 junior doctors of Kanpur's GSV Medical College and action against city SSP Yashashwi Yadav and Samajwadi Party MLA Irfan Solanki.
The doctors went on strike after two dozen junior doctors in Kanpur were arrested following a scuffle with Solanki.
A clash broke out on Friday night between supporters of SP MLA Solanki and junior doctors of the GSV Medical college.
The clash occurred when the Aryanagar MLA objected to some junior doctors of the college allegedly misbehaving with an elderly person at the Medical College Square, according to SSP Yadav.

{{/usCountry}}A high-level delegation from the Indian Medical Association (IMA) will meet President Pranab Mukherjee with an ultimatum to intensify the ongoing stir if justice is denied to them by Wednesday.
The IMA has threatened to extend the strike to other parts of the country if the issue is not sorted out at the earliest.
Resident doctors of AIIMS in Delhi have also extended their support to the agitating doctors in Kanpur and are observing a "black badge day".
