“We have done knee-length coats and jackets, that are hand-woven with thick wool. Hand-woven technique gives the garment a very beautiful surface texture,” says designer Rakesh Thakore of Abraham and Thakore. The collection starts at Rs 5,000, has detailing such as appliqués, embroideries, sequins and quilting to add to the look. The colours in vogue this season are black, burgundies, violets and peacocks, adds Thakore.

Jenjum Gaddi of Koga by Jenjum and Jasleen says, “Our AW collection uses techniques like quilting and thread work. So sleeveless jackets in satin and chanderi silk are stitched in various shades of orange, rust, greys and dark blues.” These are multi-purpose pieces and can be teamed with different kinds of outfits. The line starts at Rs 5,000.”
