Boundary wall near the reservation counter on Civil Lines side is damaged. As a result stray animals freely enter the rail tracks as well as the platforms. There is no fencing on east and west end of platform No1 which is highly essential to keep the stray animals away as well as to prevent misuse of the railway property. This is also causing great inconvenience to the passengers.

The sight of the railway station is such that cattle and dogs can be easily espied moving on the platforms. Moreover, the stray cattle roaming the waiting halls some times take away the passengers' eatables besides hurting them. Due to these animals the sanitation problem has also arisen at the Junction Station.

On being contacted Chief Health Inspector Allahabad Station AK Kaushal said, "We are taking measures in this direction. Manpower has been deployed and fruitful results can be expected in near future".

Section engineer, Nagendra Singh also says that necessary steps are being taken in this regard and the work will soon be accomplished.
