Terming India's response to acts of aggression on its borders as "grossly inadequate", the RSS on Sunday called upon the government to take immediate steps to strengthen it.
In a resolution unanimously adopted at the three-day national executive meet of the RSS, which ended today, it said the organisation felt that "India's response to the acts of aggression was grossly inadequate".
"We call upon the government to take immediate steps to strengthen the borders," RSS General Secretary and media chief Suresh Joshi told reporters in Rajgir.
It is necessary to enhance the response capability of our forces on the Indo-Tibet border in the face of a huge military build-up and infrastructure building by China, he said.
"They (Chinese) are using Indo-Tibet border for military provocations while the Indo-Myanmar border is being used by them to support the terrorist and anti-national elements in the North-East and they have even started talking about dismemberment of India," the resolution alleged.
Reminding the Centre about the 1962 resolution passed in the Indian parliament, Joshi said the Chinese should be pressurised to honour the McMahon border line.
Describing reports of China issuing paper visas to Indian citizens from Arunachal Pradesh and Kashmir as "shocking", he alleged that the Chinese government wanted to show that they don't recognize Arunachal Pradesh and Kashmir as integral parts of India.
