THE Allahabad University has made all arrangements to check cheating during the examinations starting March 11.

These will be the first exams after Allahabad University attained Central status.
Examination controller Prof Hari Shanker Upadhyay said that the varsity had decided to deploy invigilators at every constituent college to keep an eye on copycats during the examination.
Three flying squads would be constituted to carry out surprise inspections of the examination centres.
A special all-women flying squad will also be formed to check cheating by female candidates. This squad will also conduct surprise inspections through the city.
The examination controller added that a team of senior teachers and dean would be formed to observe the examination.
They would give their ideas on the examination system. No external institution or teachers would have any involvement in the examination. Research scholars and employees would also be engaged in conducting the examinations.
He said the teachers were determined to check copying and cheating during the examinations. He urged the students to be fair during the exams because use of unfair means would never get them high marks.

3 students caught cheating: Three sudents were caught cheating during the ongoing examinations of the Uttar Pradesh Rajarshi Tandon Open University on Monday.
Examination controller Dr Ratnakar Shukla said the flying squad caught three candidates using unfair means at Colonelganj Inter College on Monday.
The authorities caught a total of 80 students during the exams throughout the State.
The theory examinations will be conducted till March 1 followed by practicals and project papers from March 12.
