The OPD services resumed after 15 days and a few major surgeries were conducted at the SRN Hospital. The serious patients were also admitted to the hospital.

Meanwhile, the JDA has decided to continue their anti-quota struggle under the banner of Allahabad University. “We called off our agitation in view of public interest but our protest would continue under the leadership of Allahabad University,” said JDA president Dr Neeraj.

Dr Neeraj said public campaign has been launched to garner the support of general public in their protest against the government’s caste-based reservation policy. They also decided to launch anti-quota agitation on a mass level to create more impact on the government. “Right now we want to give some time to the UPA government to review its reservation policy,” he added.
