EVEN AS the agitating employees of the Bhopal Memorial Hospital and Research Centre met Union HRD Minister Arjun Singh to seek an intervention on the stalemate, the working trustee of hospital affirmed that indoor facility at the hospital would start functioning partially from Monday.
Working trustee of the BMHRC Aziz Ahmed Siddiqui told Hindustan Times that arrangements have been made for opening up of two wards and an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Hospital from Monday.
This would provide for treatment of about 30 indoor patients at the hospital after the total closure of about a month. The agitating employees meanwhile got an assurance from Arjun Singh that a high level meeting would be convened within a day or two to resolve the imbroglio.
They, however, received no response to their `regret letter’ faxed to the chairman of the BMHRC Trust Justice A M Ahmadi.
They are awaiting reply from Justice Ahmadi to decide about the next step. As for the notice served on the BMHRC Trust by the Registrar of Public Trusts, Siddiqui said he would be giving a `legal’ reply to the notice.
