A seven-year-old student was allegedly murdered in a Madrassa in Saharanpur district, police said on Friday.

Ismail, nephew of district Congress general secretary Rad Musharaf, was found dead in the Madrassa premises, they said.

"The body of Ismail was found in the Madrassa building," Deputy SP of Deoband circle S S Dixit told reporters in Muzaffarnagar.

The body has been sent for post-mortem examination and an investigation is on.
