Students burn effigy

TO PROTEST the incidents of lathicharge on students in Lucknow, Varanasi and Allahabad, students of the CMP Degree College, led by students leader Ashutosh Pandey, burnt effigy of the police administration on Friday. Later, addressing a meeting, Pandey criticised the police action and alleged that they were acting as puppets of the varsity vice-chancellors, who was using them to harass students.

Later, addressing a meeting, Pandey criticised the police action and alleged that they were acting as puppets of the varsity vice-chancellors, who was using them to harass students. Another student leader, Indresh Mishra said that such attitude of the police would be opposed tooth and nail and would not be tolerated.

Agitating students demanded action against cops, who lathicharged the students.
