CHAUDHARI MAHADEV Prasad Degree College (CMPDC) student union leaders disrupted the admission process on the opening day today.

The student union office bearers shouted slogans against the college administration at the counter and stopped the admission process by forcibly closing the counters. The students demanded that the college authorities must revoke the decision of reduction in seats, implement central fee structure and construct a playground in the college.
The student leaders said they had given enough time to the authorities and threatened if the demands were not fulfilled they would stop the admissions.
They said the college authorities paid no heed to their demands and therefore they were bound to take action against the authorities.
Principal Dr Kiran Shankar said the students had been unruly and never submitted demands to him in writing. He said the demonstration by students and disruption of admission process was to influence the college administration to get their personal candidates admitted into the college. A meeting with the office bearers was called by the principal in the evening and was in process till the last reports.
